Last updated: October 14, 2026 • Document identifier: TOU-GEN-2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at lyapp.in, associated preview interfaces, and informational resources operated by LY (“Luminous & Young”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By accessing or viewing this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should discontinue use of the website. Merely visiting this informational website does not establish a formal commercial software contract or constitute a waiver of any statutory rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
2. About LY and Business Status
LY is an independent, remote-based technology startup operating from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, servicing domestic clients within India and international clients (primarily in the United States and the United Kingdom).
Our operations are organized under two core branches:
- LY Product: Focused on proprietary SaaS software products, business tools, educational management systems (such as LY Campus), and related software integrations.
- LY Projects: Focused on bespoke software engineering, website development, e-commerce and Shopify development, web applications, and custom technology solutions.
Current Registration Status: LY operates as an unregistered early-stage enterprise brand. It is not incorporated as a private limited company or other corporate body under the Indian Companies Act, and MSME/Udyam registration is planned but not completed. Specific client contracts, quotations, statements of work, and agreements identify the individual proprietor or authorized contracting person entering into binding commercial commitments.
3. Relationship to Specific Signed Agreements
Precedence of Specific Commercial Contracts:
These general website Terms of Use govern public website browsing and general interactions. They do not supersede, replace, or modify any separately executed Master Services Agreement (MSA), Statement of Work (SOW), Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), formal Quotation, or SaaS Subscription Agreement entered into between LY and a client.
Where the terms of a specific signed agreement directly conflict with these general website terms, the provisions of the specific signed contract shall control and govern the relationship, to the extent permitted by mandatory applicable law.
4. Website Content and Intellectual Property
The intellectual property associated with this website is structured as follows:
- LY Proprietary Assets: Text, brand marks (“LY” and “Luminous & Young”), proprietary graphics, layout structure, code architectures, and software interfaces authored by or for LY belong to LY or the applicable rights holder, subject to actual ownership, formal assignments, and applicable licences.
- Third-Party Assets & Licensed Components: Certain icons (e.g., Lucide React), fonts (e.g., Plus Jakarta Sans, JetBrains Mono), software libraries, frameworks, and digital assets belong to their respective third-party licensors and are used under applicable open-source or commercial licenses.
- Client Assets & Trademarks: Trademarks, brand names, and client-supplied content referenced in portfolio work belong exclusively to their respective owners.
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to view website materials for personal or internal business evaluation. You may not scrape, copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer website materials without prior written authorization.
5. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities
When utilizing our website or submitting information through our forms, you agree to exercise responsible conduct. You agree not to:
- Deploy automated bots, scrapers, or extraction crawlers without prior written permission (excluding standard search engine indexing).
- Attempt unauthorized access to our server infrastructure, API endpoints, or connected Google Sheets workflows.
- Transmit malicious software, viruses, trojans, worms, or spreadsheet formula injection payloads through form fields.
- Falsify identities, submit fraudulent recruitment information, or impersonate other persons or organizations.
- Use the website or its content for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable local or international laws.
These restrictions are intended to maintain site stability and security. They do not prohibit standard, lawful accessibility tools or legitimate individual browsing.
6. Project Proposals, Deliverables, and Scope
For custom software engineering and web development engagements conducted through LY Projects:
- Scope and Specifications: Project milestones, technical requirements, timelines, deliverables, and payment schedules are governed by individual written proposals, quotations, or agreements.
- Intellectual Property & Deliverable Transfer: Ownership and licensing of bespoke client deliverables are defined in the applicable project contract. These generic website terms do not effectuate an automatic transfer of intellectual property.
- Pre-Existing Tools & Background IP: Deliverables may incorporate LY's pre-existing software tools, design systems, boilerplate libraries, and background technology. Where applicable, clients receive a license to use such components as integrated into the final deliverable, while LY retains underlying ownership of its reusable frameworks.
- Third-Party Components: Solutions utilizing third-party systems (such as Shopify, external APIs, hosting providers, or open-source packages) remain subject to their respective third-party license terms.
7. SaaS Products and Accounts
For software products offered through LY Product (such as LY Campus):
- Access terms, user licensing, subscription pricing, onboarding parameters, and institutional support terms are governed by the specific SaaS subscription agreement or institutional order form.
- Subscribers have a reasonable obligation to protect their administrative and user account credentials, properly administer authorized user access within their organization, and promptly inform LY upon becoming aware of any suspected unauthorized access or credential compromise.
- We do not make blanket promises of continuous uptime, guaranteed support response windows, or specific service-level agreements (SLAs) through this website. Specific commitments are established in commercial service agreements.
- Features previewed on this website represent current product modules or planned developments; operational feature availability is confirmed at the time of subscription.
